New Design Team Additions.

I cannot even tell you how excited I am to share with you the new additions to the Cartwheels team. I have waded through so much art over the past few weeks and have been so inspired by all I've seen. It was so hard to decide on who would be the best artists to round out our team but the girls I have chosen are so amazingly talented and worth all the time and energy spent finding them. Each of them will be bringing new projects and a unique style to the site, and they will be sharing their own regular articles each month to add new inspiration as well as helping create art for articles that we already run and helping out with things like facebook and the twitter site to make the whole Cartwheels experience a better, more inspiring place for you.

So without further ado...(((DRUMROLL PLEASE)))...I introduce you to the new Cartwheels girls:

Thank you so to everyone who tried out for the team...I witnessed so many talented artists and wish I could put you all on my team. That being said, we are going to start posting guest articles each month written by our readers. Design Team Call.

Hi everyone! I'm taking over the challenge post this week to post a different kind of challenge...a design team call. :)

Thanks to all of your support, we are getting an amazing number of hits and that means that we are ready to add some new talent to the mix!

Do you love to create all different types of handmade art? Do you excel at handmade fashion, home decor projects or create unique sewing projects? We are looking for up to 3 new artists to add to our design team who are not only fabulous creators of all things handmade, but also have a gift of writing and keeping readers attention with their unique style and projects. 

*PLEASE NOTE: Because most of our current team are scrapbookers we are looking to find artists willing to go in a different direction with their art and to fill in the projects that don't pertain to scrapbooking. We are first and foremost a handmade site and scrapbooking is only a part of what we want to share here. That being said, if you are a scrapbooker that would like to share other types of art here you are more than welcome to apply!

If you think you might be good for this position, please send me an e-mail with a brief paragraph about yourself and your style along with 2 projects (no more than 2 photos per project) sharing your own personal style. (projects can be of anything from home decor, to organization, to fashion, to quilting/sewing/crocheting, to photography to something completely new! Mostly I'm looking for writers who are not afraid to try new things, take risks and color outside of the lines on a regular basis. 

We are also looking for artists willing to take time to post in our flickr gallery, facebook and promote us on your blog through occasional sharing of what's going on on our site (no more than 2 times a month!) so if you haven't already joined our flickr group please do and start posting your work...the more we see over there the better idea we can get of your creative and writing style. You can of course post as many projects as you want on flickr on top of the 2 projects you send to me. (Flickr participation is not required to make the team though.)

Ok, I will be announcing the team by August 6 so hurry and apply if you want to be considered! I'd also love recommendations for artists you would love to see on our team/guest artists here on the site!
